A key takeaway from this week-long training is the importance of understanding the legislative processes to effectively advocate for workers’ rights on Capitol Hill. The training emphasizes that lobbying is crucial because companies actively engage in it for their goals, and union members need to as well for labor issues.

Leadership II participants also discussed ethical considerations, protecting members, and fostering solidarity, underscoring the empowering and unifying experience of the program, which equips them to be more impactful leaders.
