IAM Wood Pulp & Paper Council Hosts Virtual BBQ, Raises Over $20,000 for Guide Dogs of America

The IAM Wood Pulp & Paper Council (WPPC) fired up the grills online this year, hosting its annual Chillin’ & Grillin’ for GDA Virtual BBQ Competition in support of the IAM’s favorite charity, Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC).

Watch the video recap here.

The excitement and spirit of community came through as 20 talented cooks and teams showcased their creativity and passion for barbecue. From pork ribs to cook’s choice dishes, participants delivered flavor and fun—all while raising funds to change lives through guide and service dogs.

Contributions help provide guide dogs and service dogs to those who need them most.

“Our cooks, sponsors, donors, and judges made this event a true success,” IAM Wood, Pulp and Paper Council President Matt Murdaugh. “The passion and generosity that make this tradition so meaningful.”
