Hi, APWU Family. First, we’d like to say thank you for considering APWU Health Plan for your health insurance needs, and for those of you that have already enrolled, thank you for being a part of the APWU Health Plan. We are reaching out today to clarify premium rate information for the Health Plan’s consumer driven option for career APWU bargaining unit members who have been enrolled in the PSHB for more than one year for those qualified members.
The APWU National Agreement gives you a higher postal service premium contribution if you enroll in the Consumer Driven plan. By choosing the APWU Consumer Driven option, you can take full advantage of a union plan with competitive premiums and comprehensive benefits. We have determined that the previously published special rates for the consumer driven option were not correct.
This video is one way that we are making you aware of the correct rates as you make your open season selection. Ensuring accuracy and transparency is our priority. The correct 2026 biweekly APWU Consumer Driven option premiums for career APWU bargaining unit. Employees enrolled in the PSHB for more than one year are self-only $30.16, self plus one $70.60, and self and family, $82.48.
We realize that you have many health insurance choices this open season. The APWU Consumer Driven Plan has the lowest premiums in the PSHB for career APWU bargaining unit members, and offers a rich array of benefits.
