Description
Where did you grow up?
Massillon/Canton, Ohio. I've been a Stark county resident my entire life.
Why did you decide to become a Real Estate Agent?
I have always had an entrepreuer mindset, and within that framework I have an uncanny ability to create great relationships with people and I have an inate passion to help others succeed and enjoy life. Also, I come from a craftsman background on both sides of my family so I greatly appreciate the finer things regarding homes & design ideas, and woodworking is one of my favorite hobbies. Real Estate has been a natural fit for me.
What do you love about helping the people in Stark and surrounding areas?
It's where my heart is, and I want to make our hometowns a better place for families. I feel like every day, every person has a new dream, idea or thought about how they can better their situation from that of yesterday or yesteryear, and I am fortunate to have so many innovative options to offer my clients. There is no better feeling than when I hear clients say, “I wonder why the other realtors I've worked with didn’t tell me that”.
So, that's why you created the Accredited Senior Network? ...and what is so unique about this team?
Yes. First, we have a singleness of focus as it pertains to providing solutions for the 55+ crowd. We realize Boomers are now at a juncture in life where major decisions can set the tone for the rest of their journey on this earth- and for their legacy, and bad decisions can have a devastating ripple effect. It's our job to help them avoid those decisions.
What is the main goal of the 55+ Network?
To take the worry and concern away from people who may be losing sleep over things they feel they don't have the answers to. I make sure I'm here for them when they don't know who to call- or more importantly, when they are not sure who they can confide in and trust to give them great council and direction.
Who can benefit from the network?
Mainly anyone 55 or over, who lives in Stark, Summit, Wayne and Tuscarawas counties, but I can connect to anyone throughout Ohio.
What do you hope to accomplish for your clients?
To provide ease of process and peace-of-mind when they want or need to relocate to a new home or retirement community.
To put them in a much better financial retirement situation.
To minimize taxes on investments and real estate.
To protect the inheritance they leave their children and future generations.
Why do you do this work? What drives you?
I love it! Being a Boomer myself, I automatically emphasize with every person's situation and know I have the solution OR have someone in network that does! As I designed the concept and developed the structure of the Accredited Senior Network, the response of other 55+ advocates was very encouraging, I knew that we had something that goes far beyond what other Realtors, Attorneys and Consultants were able to provide to families. Collectively, and because of the caliber of professionals we deem as part of the Network, we can solve problems that others, as licensed practicioners have not been able to accomplish as individuals, even though at ASN, we work independently from each other.

What is the most rewarding part of what you do?
Oh, by far...getting results for those who put their trust in me to help them. Whether I'm working with a young 1st-time home buyer who needs to lean heavily on me from contract-to-close; or a buyer who doesn't exactly know what to look for- or look out for when searching for a home; to someone who needs help with design or renovation ideas... to strategizing with novice and experienced investors.
You recently added a large segment to your business in assisting folks who are 55+. That's the most delicate, and often the most difficult market in the real estate world. Why did you take that on and what sets you apart from other real estate professionals in that sector?
Well, mainly because I came from a pretty close, low-to-no drama family and had a blast growing up with them, but now with everyone moving into later chapters in their lives and seeing the struggles they face daily, I wanted to make a significant difference in their lives, as well as assist other families who are facing similar challenges and concerns. I've enjoyed success in the real estate world and I knew I had enough influence to pull together some other highly knowledgeable, and senior-focused professionals who share my passion, and who weren't "Salesy"... which is extremely important to me and my cause.

What are your clients’ concerns? worries?
Typically, there are a few major concerns. (1) Feeling stuck in their home because of too much accumulated "Stuff". (2) Wanting to sell their home and move, but don't know where they will go. (3) Feeling the squeeze of inflation while being on a fixed income, (4) Fearing the loss of their independence. (5) Having their assets run out before they make it to the finish line, and (6) Leaving their spouse/children in a bad spot if high medical costs and nursing community assistance is needed.

Do you make money from the other providers of Accredited Senior Network when you send people to them?
No, Nothing. I strictly derive my income from anything real estate related. I have always put people over profit.
What is something else your clients may not know about your services?
I buy houses. If someone is in a position where the home has become too much of a burden, or if they don't want to go through the entire process of selling it. I am in a position to potentially buy it from them, saving them fees, repairs and commissions, and can generally close in 7-10 days.
Lastly, what is something your clients may not know about you, personally?
I was one of 6 finalists of 153 troops at Fort Knox who had qualified for the "George S. Patton Perfomance Excellence Award" in the early 80's as a 23 year old kid.
