As a teenager, I embarked on a home improvement project to construct a sprinkler system for my parents' large yard. My supervisor/inspiration was my grandfather. Every day for two summer months, I singlehandedly dug trenches and laid pipe until my hands blistered and bled, regardless of the rain or heat. While my grandfather sat in a chair emphatically testing the lessons my parents instilled in me about hard work, he preached about the importance of applying that work ethic toward treating people.
My grandfather started a successful small business in Spokane, built on hard work, the highest level of integrity and always putting clients first. My parents practiced that same approach in their respective careers. Their influence guided me throughout my career and led me to Edward Jones, where I focus on working tirelessly each day for my clients with the highest level of integrity until my "hands blister and bleed."
