Born and raised in Dauphin County, Ed Sinkovitz relocated to Cumberland County in 1986 and has loved the many benefits of residency in Newville ever since. Ed came to the area with his wife, Marcia, and son, Matthew. In 1990, Tessa Jean-Nichole was born. Ed left the transportation industry in 2009, but only changed careers slightly when he started driving a school bus for Deitch Bus Company. After four years in “education”, Ed decided to take his sales knowledge and skills to another level: selling real estate. In 2013, Ed joined his now grown son, Matt Sinkovitz, in the real estate business at Joy Daniels Realty Group. In April of 2015, Ed relocated closer to his Newville home, and began employment at Hooke, Hooke & Eckman Realtors (now Keller Williams of Central PA). The beautiful thing about this transition was the fact that in 1980, he and Marcia attended a Camp Hill church where Bill Hooke Sr., the HHE founder, and his wife, Vivian, sat in the next pew! Unbeknownst to both that someday their families would be brought even closer together. Ed has been a life-long fan and participant of golf, hunting, and has always enjoyed professional and college sports. After high school, Ed enlisted in the Air Force and served four years. Once a resident of New York State, his favorite past-time is watching the New York Yankees! The Sinkovitz family owns and loves its additional members, two Brittanys, Molly and Jolly, who are pampered every day. Ed is a member of the Newville Borough Council, serving since 2008, and a member of the Newville chapter of the Lions Club. His wife of 37 years is the Founder and Director of a non-profit prison program serving in the state of Pennsylvania. His son, Matt, is now working as a musician in a jazz trio, and Tessa is a kindergarten school teacher.
