The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS) held its annual General Chairmen’s Training at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center.
“The IAM’s facility offers an invaluable opportunity for our General Committee Officers to collaborate closely and discuss shared challenges across properties,” said BRS National President Mike Baldwin. “The dedicated staff and expert instructors, combined with the exceptional facility, creates the ideal setting for the annual General Chairmen’s Training.”
The weeklong training focused on a wide range of topics, including best teaching practices, healthcare insights, railroad retirement benefits, and ongoing legislative and regulatory issues. Alongside IAM instructors and BRS National Officers, the training featured presentations by distinguished guests, including FRA Administrator Amit Bose, RRB Labor Member John Bragg, Transportation Trades Department President Greg Regan, Union Plus Representative Keith Ervin, and members of the BRS Designated Legal Counsel.
“Our education training facility is always open to the Brothers and Sisters from the Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen,” said IAM International President Brian Bryant. “Our Winpisinger Center instructors do a fantastic job and we are so glad the BRS union finds it so useful for their members.”
