Growing up in South Carolina, I saw firsthand the financial hardships my single mother of two and widowed grandmother faced every single day. My mother worked overtime so she could support our multigenerational family when Social Security did not meet the needs of an aging widow and scholarships did not cover all the necessary college expenses.
Prior to joining Edward Jones, I taught students from elementary to university levels. As a teacher, I worked to get to know my students better and give them the tools they needed to reach their goals, much like I do as a financial advisor. My Ph.D. in international relations from Florida International University gives me background and skills in analyzing foreign, economic and domestic policies. I use this experience to understand market trends so I can then translate these policies for my clients at Edward Jones.

Even though I grew up in South Carolina, I have traveled throughout the United States and abroad. I speak Spanish, as well as some Italian, Haitian Creole and Portuguese. Some of my hobbies include running, surfing and painting. I previously worked with the local Volusia-Flagler YMCA, and I am now involved in the Rotary Club of Edgewater, the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, Volusia County Women Who Care, and other community organizations. I also enjoy spending time with my family, my hyperactive dog and my blind rescue cat, who will roll over on command if you promise her a treat.
