IAM International President Brian Bryant has appointed Hanna Xue to serve as Research Analyst in the IAM Strategic Resources Department, effective July 20, 2026.
Xue had served as a Local Representative with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP-AFT) prior to her appointment with the IAM Union. Xue’s work with new organizing strategies and successful organizing in the South is a key element to her impressive resume.
“Hanna brings an exciting set of skills to the Strategic Resources team and we cannot wait to see the great work she will do,” said IAM Strategic Resources Director David White.
Xue is a 2023 graduate of the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations program. She also graduated with a master’s of science in management and labor relations from Rutgers in 2025.
“I always like to make a difference in workers’ lives. I have worked on contracts and grievances with diverse groups of union members,” said Xue. “There is nothing better than to know you have helped improve life for a group of workers seeking to have their voices heard.”
In her spare time, Xue enjoys volunteering in the community, helping to teach knitting, and working on knitting projects for donations to people who are hospitalized for long durations.
