Aerospace Members Learn About the Service Contract Act

The IAM Aerospace Department recently held training at the William Winpisinger Education Center. The IAM normally conducts two classes per year about the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act of 1965, more commonly known as the Service Contract Act (SCA). 

The Service Contract Act applies to every contract entered into by the United States or the District of Columbia which furnishes services through the use of service employees in excess of $2,500 and sets minimum wage rates and fringe benefits as determined by the US Department of Labor (DOL).
