Service runs deep in the family. One daughter is a retired veteran who has served as a Firefighter, Wildland Firefighter, Paramedic, and now as a Surgical Nurse, and is married to a Lieutenant Firefighter/Paramedic. Another daughter serves as a Sheriff, and a daughter-in-law works as a Hazardous Material Coordinator Firefighter/Paramedic. A father proudly served as a Navy Sailor, alongside extended family members who dedicated their careers to military service. Early years were spent working through college at Fred Meyer—union work that built a firsthand understanding of union values, protections, and pride that last a lifetime.
That background translates into a genuine understanding of the unique needs of union and military families—from shift work and overtime to career transitions and benefits.
