As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe that my real work is to help my clients achieve their hopes and dreams for themselves and their families. Managing finances is a means to this, not the end in itself. As a husband and father of four grown children, I know firsthand the challenges of managing finances with conflicting goals such as planning for retirement, college education, paying a mortgage and extra-curricular activities.
After several years in the financial industry, I decided to seek out additional education. I studied and earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™, or CRPC™, designation. The study for this designation focuses on the pre- and post-retirement needs of clients as well as estate considerations, retirement planning principles, health care considerations and Social Security, military and government retirement benefits considerations.
Over time, I found myself interacting more and more with business owners and determined that their unique situation and path to retirement was significantly different than employees, so I studied for, and earned, the Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, or CEPA®, designation. This designation provides a specific education on how to help business owners have a successful exit by discussing business readiness, strengthening personal financial strategies and aligning them to personal goals. I can work alongside attorneys and CPAs to assist business owners to achieve a successful exit from their business to retirement.
I grew up in Eagan, Minnesota, and have spent the majority of my life in the south-of-the-river suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you and to help you achieve your best life. Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me. Now, let's get to know each other better. Please call the office and schedule a time for us to meet as soon as possible.
