Mike Mahoney was born and raised in Massachusetts south shore region. He moved to Maine in 1997 after graduating from Stonehill College with a degree in Finance in 1995. Prior experiences at St. Josephs College in Windham and USM in Portland, where he formed many strong personal bonds, brought him back to start a life here in Southern Maine.
The degree in Finance would prove crucial to guiding Mike through years as a self employed individual, as well as teaching others the skills they would need to provide for their families future selves.
Mike's first years in Maine were as an Escrow accountant, and once again he formed life long bods with many in the real estate business. Mike's other lifelong passion is music and from his Escrow Accounting position he turned a part time DJ venture into a full time career for over 20 years. He found the customer service skills learned in that industry, shepherding clients through the uncharted waters of major life events would be a perfect fit when working with his real estate clients.
Mike Mahoney entered the Real Estate world in order to fulfill a passion for helping people, but in a new way. Seeing so many couples getting married and helping them to navigate their wedding planning, and that first year of married life led very naturally to a need to help them further in creating a new life together helping people navigate and accomplish their home ownership goals and hasn’t looked back.
Mike is married to his lovely wife Priscilla and lives in South Portland ME with their 2 crazy dogs. He spends his free time on Home repair & projects, car repair & projects, hiking, camping, reading and playing with the dogs.
