Our Legacy
1940
Taylor, Lord & Hughes was founded in 1940 by Ray Taylor. Over the years, the agency has evolved while staying true to its roots of family, integrity, and community. In 1964, Ray’s son Jon Taylor joined the business, and together they built a strong reputation for service and trust.
1988
In 1988, Denny Lord became part of the team, bringing fresh insights and a commitment to the agency’s values. Just a couple of years later, Joe Hughes joined the agency in 1990, and in 1992, Denny Lord retired. Jon Taylor followed in 1997, passing the torch to a new generation of leadership.
2013
In 2013, Joe’s daughter Jolee Hughes-Nummela joined the agency, continuing the family tradition. She worked closely with her father, learning the business from the ground up. After Joe’s well-deserved retirement in 2021, Jolee proudly took the reins as owner and president in January 2022.
