IAM Employee Assistance Program (EAP) instructors and peer coordinators gathered recently at the IAM William Winpisinger Education Center to take part three of the four-part training program.
The class went over various topics such as dealing with stress, depression, addiction, taking care of caregivers, mental health, and suicide prevention. Several instructors taught specific topics to the 20-plus students who attended the week-long class.
The participants came from around North America and were able to discuss issues they are facing at their home locals and get suggestions on how to better help the membership. IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Assistant Coordinator Sean Marcil was extremely pleased to see the engagement of those who participated and came to learn about EAP.
