Hispanic Heritage Month Profiles: Mark Gallego

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, the AFL-CIO will be profiling leaders and activists to spotlight the diverse contributions Hispanics and Latinos have made to the labor movement. Today’s profile features Mark Gallego of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA).

Mark Gallego has been the business agent and a labor leader for UA Local 469 for 12 years. Gallego represented UA on the national Labor Council for Latin American Advancement’s executive board for three years and is involved in the Local 469 PAC to elect candidates who support labor.
