Samantha Rosado-Ciriello

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, the AFL-CIO will be profiling leaders and activists to spotlight the diverse contributions Hispanics and Latinos have made to the labor movement. Today’s profile features Samantha Rosado-Ciriello of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

Samantha Rosado-Ciriello is the first Latina president of the Yonkers Federation of Teachers and serves on the New York State United Teachers board of directors and executive committee. An elementary educator and longtime union activist, she has been a powerful advocate for equitable school funding, safe working and learning conditions, and social justice, as well as a stronger voice for educators and working people.
