IAM District 160 Members Raise Over $30K for Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines

IAM District 160 recently hosted a fundraiser at a Topgolf in Renton, Wash., which raised more than $30,000 for the IAM’s favorite charity, Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC).

More than 100 IAM members, families, and supporters gathered for an afternoon of fun and fundraising that featured golf games, bingo, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. The event was in support of GDA | TLC’s mission to empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired, veterans, and children with autism by providing expertly trained service dogs free of charge.

“The IAM’s commitment to Guide Dogs of America goes back decades,” said IAM Western Territory General Vice President Robert “Bobby” Martinez. “Our members have always answered the call to give back, and this fundraiser is another example of the compassion and strength that defines our union family.”

The event was organized under the leadership of IAM District 160 Business Representative Zac Collins, whose commitment to this cause helped ensure the day’s success.

The IAM has long been a proud supporter of GDA | TLC, the union’s charity of choice, and this latest fundraising success adds to the millions of dollars raised by IAM members over the years.
