IAM Organizers Build Power at Winpisinger Center

The Organizing II class at the IAM’s Winpisinger Education Center is part of a broader program, focused on advanced organizing skills and tactics for union organizers. It builds upon introductory concepts, delving into more complex campaign strategies, including materials, techniques, and addressing real-world organizing challenges.

The aim of the 30-member class is to equip organizers with the tools and knowledge to navigate complex organizing campaigns effectively and overcome challenges. The class explored advanced strategies and techniques for successful organizing.

  • Participants gain access to campaign-proven, professional materials, and resources, including the Organizer’s Toolkit. 
  • The course addressed the difficulties faced by organizers, such as anti-union campaigns and evolving labor regulations. 
  • The course focused on increasing union membership through aggressive organizing efforts. 
The Organizing II class teaches the importance of growing membership through organizing efforts and supports organizers with resources and training to achieve this. In essence, the Organizing II class is a training program designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of union organizers, enabling them to effectively manage complex organizing campaigns and grow union membership.
