(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Teamsters at the BelGioioso Cheese facility in Campbell, New York, represented by Teamsters Local 118, have overwhelmingly ratified a new contract that secures higher wages and strengthens job protections. The agreement covers 180 workers responsible for the production, maintenance, and distribution of Polly-O cheeses across the region. “Our members made it clear they expected a contract that respected their work, and that’s exactly what we achieved,” said Tim Barbeto, President of Teamsters Local 118. “This agreement raises wages, improves benefits, and strengthens the workplace protections our members rely on every day.” The contract clarifies workplace rules, improves the posting process for line lead positions, limits the use of temporary workers, and strengthens rules around seniority and job assignments. “This contract protects our jobs and gives us a stronger voice at work,” said Thomas Didas, a steward. “We finally feel respected for the essential role we play in producing and shipping thousands of Polly-O cheese products.”  Teamsters Local 118 proudly represents over 5,000 workers across upstate New York and in Northern Pennsylvania. (GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill.) – More than 180 workers at Grecian Delight Kronos have voted to join Teamsters Local 710. The production, warehouse, sanitation, and quality assurance workers are seeking better wages, stronger benefits, and improved working conditions. “This company tried but failed to block these workers from exercising their federally protected right to form a union,” said Mike Cales, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 710. “Our new members overcame a relentless anti-union campaign, and we look forward to helping them in negotiations to win a strong contract.” Shippers and receivers at Grecian Delight Kronos have been represented by Local 710 for over 25 years, and the contract protections they enjoy were a major catalyst for the latest organizing effort. With the election now certified, preperations to negotiate a first contract are underway. “As companies consolidate and squeeze workers harder, more people are realizing they need a real voice on the shop floor,” said Tom Erickson, Director of the Teamsters Warehouse Division. “These workers stood strong, they won, and now they’re ready to bargain for the wages, benefits, and respect they deserve.” “When Grecian Delight bought Kronos, everything changed for the worse. (SPRINGFIELD, Mo.) – Teamsters at the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) facility in Springfield, Mo., have overwhelmingly voted to ratify a strong three-year agreement that delivers meaningful wage increases, preserves affordable health care, and strengthens long-term job security. The group of over 130 warehouse workers, CDL drivers, maintenance workers, and transport drivers produce, package, and ship coffee products nationwide. They are represented by Teamsters Local 245. Under the new contract, workers secured total wage increases of 10.5 percent over three years. (TUKWILA, Wash.) – Republic Services Teamsters represented by Teamsters Locals 38, 117, and 174 have overwhelmingly ratified a new five-year master agreement. The contract secures strong wage and pension gains, improved health care benefits, and protections against excessive overtime. Critically, the new contract forces Republic to align wages and benefits for Teamsters at the company’s 3rd and Lander Recycle Center with those of the other workers covered by the agreement. “This incredibly strong contract is the direct result of solidarity in action for a huge group of Teamsters standing together across three local unions,” said Rick Hicks, President of Teamsters Joint Council 28. “With the determination of our rank-and-file committee, we worked tirelessly to ensure our brothers and sisters at the Recycle Center are treated with the respect they deserve by correcting the pay and benefit inequities immediately. They want to force millions of people into destitution by destroying their livelihoods, seize money that belongs to workers, and force our communities to reckon with the fallout of automation’s shortcomings. Robotaxis threaten workers’ jobs and are now terrorizing our kids. “Waymo vehicles have continued to illegally ignore school bus stop signs despite a company-wide software recall and another, separate NHTSA investigation. Parents, teachers, school workers, and community members have been demanding that these vehicles be kept away from school zones. Waymo and its parent company, Google, choose to ignore those warnings. “In the interest of protecting our communities and working-class prosperity, the Teamsters are calling on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to indefinitely suspend Waymo’s license to operate in the state. Being a parent is hard enough — nobody should have to worry about a driverless car putting their child in danger. (SEATTLE) – More than 350 emergency medical technicians (EMTs) at American Medical Response (AMR), represented by Teamsters Local 763, overwhelmingly voted to ratify a strong new collective bargaining agreement. “This contract is a major win for our EMTs, setting the standard for pay and job protections across EMS in the region,” said Chad Baker, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 763. “I’m incredibly proud of our bargaining team and their relentless work to secure a strong agreement that delivers real, lasting improvements for our members and their families.” The new contract delivers a 19 percent wage increase, improved trainer pay and night shift differential, stronger protections for part-time workers, and enhanced just cause language. “We fought and won major victories, not just a 19 percent wage increase over the three-year life of the contract, but protection for the wage-earning capacity of the members,” said Sal Cossio, an EMT and bargaining committee member at Local 763. “We undercut the company’s ability to use unpaid admin leave, mandated cause for reassignments, and doubled the warning period for cancelled shifts.
