The IAM Union is proud of our many members who don’t stop serving when their shift ends. Many IAM Union members volunteer as firefighters, EMTs and other first responders—stepping up to protect their communities when it matters most.
Now, we’re working to support you.
IAM CREST is preparing to apply for upcoming U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) safety grants, including a new opportunity focused on first responders. This initiative would allow the IAM to expand lifesaving hazmat and emergency response training—not only for our members, but also for the local departments and communities they serve.
To strengthen our application and ensure we reach the right members, we’re asking IAM first responders to step forward.
If you are a volunteer or professional first responder—whether in EMS, fire service or another emergency response role—we want to hear from you.
By building a network of IAM first responders, we can:
- Provide enhanced safety and hazmat training opportunities
- Support local departments connected to our union
- Recognize the critical service our members provide beyond the workplace
- Demonstrate the IAM’s commitment to community safety and preparedness
Submit your information today.
